CALLAHAN'S CROSSTIME SALOON

Callahan's Crosstime Saloon is one of the most distinctive games ever made.

"Callahan's Crosstime Saloon is set in what looks like a typical present-day Long Island bar except that the crowd of regulars includes time travelers, space aliens, and other unusual folks. Callahan's is friendly like the Cheers bar, but has a cosmic clientele like the Star Wars cantina. It's the place where every being knows your name. Callahan's offers a unique twist on the traditional adventure game format. The game consists of six adventures organized like a TV sitcom, in which each episode presents the band of regulars with a new challenge. The game is accessible and fun for everyone. Because of the episodic format, people can play through one of the stories in an evening or two and come away with a real sense of accomplishment. Callahan's offers incredible entertainment value -- the funny puzzles, witty dialogue, gorgeous environments and nonviolent themes will appeal to the whole family."

Callahan's Crosstime Saloon is one of the most distinctive games ever made.

You play Jake Stonebender, a regular in Callahan's Bar. There you drown your sorrows and solve riddles with other humans, werewolves, aliens, vampires, time travellers, mutants, a talking dog... Yeah, it is a strange cast at Callahan's. The game is based on books written by Spider Robinson. Think of Callahan's as a cross-over between CheersStar Trek cantina. These creatures are your friends, and when they have troubles, you try to help them out.

But not only your friends have problems. The whole universe has a problem as well: The gods have decided to close down the universe for good. Someone has to save the day, and it might just as well be you. Your quest will take you from New York to Romania, Manhattan, Brazil, outer space, the future and, of course, to the gods themselves.

Do you have what it takes to be Jake Stonebender? Can you trick the gods and solve all the riddles without help? Do you have the courage, brains and abilities needed?
Find out. The task is not simple - but then again, saving the universe never is.
